Board of Executive Protection Professionals

DEFINING THE NATIONAL STANDARD FOR WORLDWIDE EXECUTIVE PROTECTION

Without standards, there can be no improvement
Join us as we take on the task of creating the first Executive Protection National Standard to be registered with the American national Standards Institute.
As the famous quote asserts, “Without standards, there can be no improvement.” For some time, protection professionals have recognized the protective services industry was void of consistency and in dire need of standards specific to executive protection. The Board of Executive Protection Professionals is taking on the task by establishing these standards with the purpose of advancing the industry.
This Board is composed of seasoned professionals who will manage the process of creating the first Executive Protection National Standard. Once approved, this Standard will be registered with the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). ANSI is a private, nonprofit organization that oversees the creation of standards for various processes, products, systems, services, and personnel in nearly every business sector in the United States.
The Process
For a document to become an ANSI-approved National Standard, the Board of Executive Protection Professionals must be transparent and follow the strict guidelines outlined in the Essential Requirements provided by ANSI.
These are the same guidelines observed by:
-
ASIS International;
-
SHRM (Society of Human Resources Management);
-
Department of Defense;
-
Other Standard Providers.
Technical Committee and Working Group
The Technical Committee is comprised of seasoned industry professionals responsible for developing new or revised language for Standards developed by BEPP. This Committee will also approve or reject recommendations made by the Working Group.
The BEPP Technical Committee is the consensus body and will follow the voting procedures.
Technical Committee
