Short Bio-

Mr. Evanoff is an American security expert and government official who served as the Assistant Secretary of State for Diplomatic Security. Prior to assuming that role, he served as Vice President for Asset Protection & Security for Walmart from 2014 to 2017. Evanoff Previously he served as Chief Security Officer at Coca-Cola HBC, in Zug, Switzerland and Athens, Greece, and as Global Director of Security at Och-Ziff Capital Management Group in New York.

 

From 1985 to 2011, he served as a special agent in the Department of State's Bureau of Diplomatic Security, where he held senior positions with the Overseas Security Advisory Council, NATO Office of Security, Secretary of State protection detail, and eight U.S. missions overseas. In his capacity at the State Department, he provided personal protection services to former U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice. He also established the first Diplomatic Security liaison officer to the U.S. European Command in Stuttgart, Germany.

 

Mr. Evanoff resigned as Assistant Secretary of State for Diplomatic Security in July 2020

Protective Intelligence during Executive Protection Operations

Short Bio-

As a senior advisor with the U.S. Secret Service, Dr. Keeney advises executive management on operational and policy decisions based on an understanding of protective intelligence investigations and psychological, social, and behavioral science.

 

Dr. Keeney serves as the Secret Service's only psychologist conducting threat assessments and consulting on Secret Service protective intelligence investigations. Also offer guidance on strategic goals for research and training related to the protective intelligence mission of the agency; and conduct training related to threat assessment, mental illness, interviewing techniques, deescalation, and other topics.

 

Dr. Keeney also served as the Chief of the National Threat Assessment Center from November 2007 through December 2016, during which time she oversaw the Center's research, training, and consultation activities. SES-certified.

Executive Protection Operations from the Consumer/Client Perspective 

Short Bio-

Scott entered law enforcement in 1999, initially as an Auxiliary Constable with the RCMP in BC followed by becoming a full-time constable shortly after.  Scott completed his law enforcement career in 2008 with a municipal police department in Alberta.  Scott made the jump to Corporate Security & Emergency Management in the Oil & Gas Industry and spent the majority of the past 14 years with PetroChina Canada.

 

With PetroChina Canada, Scott was tasked with leading security operations (physical, personnel, EP) and intelligence for the company’s oil & gas assets.  As an Incident Command System (ICS) instructor, Scott also oversaw incident management and ICS training for his company as well as numerous global affiliates.  Scott’s work with PetroChina has taken him around the globe assisting the organization with developing security and emergency management programs.

 

In May of 2022, Scott accepted a role as the Director of Security for a Family Office in Northern California.  In that role Scott leads a talented team of Executive Security Agents, SOC Operators & Security Systems Specialists.

 

Scott has recently completed many years of volunteer leadership with ASIS International having just completed two years of service on the ASIS Global Board of Directors and before that, three years on the Executive Board of the ASIS CSO Center.

Medical Oversight and Legal Liability Consideration for Executive Protection Operations 

Short Bio-

"Doc" is a double-board certified general surgeon and surgical critical care physician who specializes in trauma and emergency surgery. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and College of Chest Physicians. He is a member of the American Association for the Surgery of Trauma and the State Vice Chair of the Massachusetts Committee on Trauma where he has lead numerous initiatives. He also holds full licensure to practice medicine in multiple U.S. states.

In pursuit of his enjoyment of tactical medicine, Doctor DeBusk provides concierge medical direction to law enforcement, EMS organizations and executive protection groups. He is a proud member of the Board of Executive Protection Professionals where he provides guidance on requisite medical standards for protection specialists. He indulges his zeal for tactical medicine and special operations with his experience in academic medicine as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Special Operations Medicine.

Dr. Mary Beth is a former United States Secret Service Agent and current consultant in the fields of forensic and clinical psychology. She is a professor at George Washington University, where she teaches Abnormal Psychology and the Psychology of Crime and Violence. Mary Beth holds a Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychology, a Master’s Degree in Forensic Psychology, and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice. He is a personal protection and threat mitigation expert with more than 18 years of experience. His career began in the United States Army Special Operations community and as a Sniper Team Leader with multiple deployments in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.

ANSI "Standard for Providing Executive Protection" Process and Update - Board Certification "Executive Security Operations Professional" (CESOP) Process and Update

Short Bio-

James Cameron is an ASIS International Board-Certified Protection Professional, CPP, and has over 15 years’ international experience in both the security industry and the corporate sector. Mr. Cameron owns and operates Security Concepts Group which opened 2009.

 

In the effort to continue to raise the industry standard of Executive Protection Mr. Cameron started the organization Board of Executive Protection Professionals (BEPP) in March of 2021. In September of 2021 the BEPP became a American National Standards Instituted (ANSI) accredited as a Standard Developer. Under Mr. Cameron’s leadership the BEPP has organized over 150 industry professionals to develop the first ANSI approved “Standard for Providing Executive Protection”.

 

Mr. Cameron is a combat veteran, having earned a Bronze Star for his actions during combat operations as a Sniper in Iraq. Mr. Cameron also has earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Information Systems.

Alan has over 35 years of practical hands on experience in security and surveillance operations.  Alan is a member of the International Association of Certified Surveillance Professionals (IACSP) where he holds the designation of Certified Surveillance Professional (CSP) and is a member of the International Association of Professional Security Consultants (IAPSC). He is also a subject matter expert and Track Advisor for the American Gaming Association. Additionally, he is a member of the International Society of Crime Prevention Practitioners and holds their Designation of International Crime Prevention Specialist (ICPS).
